Spinach Soup

Spinach as we all know is loaded with iron, vitamins and minerals.....this soup carries all the goodness of the spinach and the rest of the ingredients added along with it....great way to feed the kiddies....


Fresh spinach leaves: 300gms.
Celery sticks:2.
Onion[medium]: 1
Garlic pods: 3-4.
Green chilli: 1.


 Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp.
Pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
Vegetable stock cube:1
Hot water: 350ml.
Salt: as per taste.
Oil: 1 tsp.

Garnish:
Yogurt and young celery tips

1.Wash and drain the spinach leaves.Set  aside.
2.Wash and chop the celery sticks. Peel the onion and garlic pods and slice them finely.Chop the green chilli.
3.Heat the oil in a kadi and splutter the cumin seeds.


4.Add the onions, garlic and green chilli and saute for 2-3 minutes.
5.Add the spinach leaves, vegetable stock cube and hot water. Simmer covered for 10  mins.
6.Cool and grind to a smooth mix. Add salt and pepper powder.
7.Serve in warmed individual bowls garnished with yogurt and celery tips.
